It's hard to believe our dear friend Dick Overman has been with his maker for nearly a year now. Memorial Day - 30 May 2004 - will be the first anniversary of his passing. Those of us who loved Dick, and other friends, will lift a glass to "Absent Comrades" as men of our ilk do on this day of remembrance, but Dick will be primary in our thoughts and hearts. We think of him every day with fondness and good humor, as he would like to be remembered, for a man more dedicated to his wife, friends, beloved Marine Corps, and country is hard to find and harder to replace - if possible.

We think also of his beloved wife and partner Joy and know in spirit ther are still together.
